National Compact Touring Series, LLC Announces the Great American Pursuit Series for 2027

Built to Serve. Reborn to Race.

National Compact Touring Series, LLC is proud to announce the formation of the Great American Pursuit Series, a traveling Crown Victoria racing series set to debut during the 2027 racing season.

The name "Great American Pursuit Series" was created as a tribute to the dedicated men and women of law enforcement who served behind the wheel of these iconic vehicles for decades. Once a symbol of public service and protection, the Ford Crown Victoria has found new life on race tracks across America.

The mission of the Great American Pursuit Series is to help grow Crown Vic racing throughout the Great Lakes Region by introducing the division to new race tracks and creating additional opportunities for competitors. Currently, Russell's M-40 Speedway, Hartford Speedway, and Mount Pleasant Speedway are the only tracks in Michigan regularly featuring Crown Victoria competition. The new series aims to expand the footprint of the class while increasing participation and car counts across the state.

We believe the Crown Vic division has tremendous potential for growth, and this series will help introduce these cars to new fans, new tracks, and new competitors throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes region."

The 2027 Great American Pursuit Series payout structure will feature a strong purse designed to reward competitors throughout the field:

1st - $600
2nd - $350
3rd - $275
4th - $225
5th - $200
6th - $175
7th - $150
8th - $140
9th - $130
10th - $130
11th and beyond - $125 to start

In addition to the planned 2027 launch, National Compact Touring Series, LLC is exploring the possibility of hosting a special one-off Great American Pursuit Series event during July or August of 2026. However, organizers will need commitments from at least 10 to 12 Crown Victoria teams to move forward with the event.
