Top Female NASCAR Star to Invade Sandusky Speedway

 

(Sandusky, OH) The National Compact Touring Series presented by Rev X Products

is celebrating its 10th year of operations this season. The touring series kicked

off the 2023 season in Bradenton, Florida on February 4th , with AJ Sanders

capturing the $7,000 feature win at the Freedom Factory. The second event of the

season was held at Bristol Motor Speedway with YouTube star Cleetus McFarland

racing during the event.

 

The National Compact Touring Series and Sandusky Speedway through a strong

partnership, our pleased to announce that NASCAR Truck star Hailie Deegan will

race with the touring series on Saturday, August 19th , at the ½ mile speedway.

Deegan is from Temecula, California and competes full-time with ThorSport

Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series based out of Sandusky. Deegan is

currently entering her third full season in the trucks and first season with

ThorSport Racing. Deegan started racing at the age of eight and has been the

only female driver in the Lucas Oil Off Road Pro series, as well as regional series to

win championships in 2013, 2015, and 2016, along with being the only youth to

ever win the Lucas Oil Off Road Pro series Driver of the Year award (2016). In

Deegan’s first season driving in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series in 2018, she scored

her first win at Meridian Speedway in Idaho.

 

Deegan will be piloting a front wheel drive car prepared by Crislip Racing

based out of Malvern, OH with National Compact Touring Series. Deegan is not

the only high-profile driver to attempt to run with the world’s fastest Sports

Compacts. The series has seen the likes of Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, Rich

Bickel, Travis Pastrana, Cleetus McFarland, and Jim York participate in series

events. Kenny Wallace finished 3rd at Berlin Raceway, Rich Bickel won a heat race

at Madison International Speedway, Ken Schrader set the track record at

Painesville Speedway, and Cleetus McFarland set fast time at his own Freedom

Factory. Deegan will be looking to add herself to the series record books at

Sandusky Speedway.

The National Compact Touring Series is a Sports Compact traveling series that has

hosted events across the country at tracks such as Berlin Raceway, Toledo

Speedway, Freedom Factory, North Wilkesboro Speedway, Freedom Factory,

Rockingham Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Richmond Raceway, and many
