Salem Speedway Returns to NCTS Schedule for 2022
(Chicago, IL) The National Compact Touring Series presented by Rev X Oil will return to the Salem Speedway for two of the largest and most unique events in the compact world during the 2022 season. The first event will be on Saturday, June 18th, for the 100 lap R-Oval pit stop challenge race. Teams will be required to make a green flag pit stop to change at least one racing tire during the pit stop with fuel being optional.
The second event will be on Saturday, September 17th, and will be the first ever Compact World Showdown event being a co-sanctioned event with the Midwest Dash Series. This event was created by the Salem Speedway to be the largest compact event in the Midwest.
The National Compact Touring Series and Midwest Dash Series are excited to co-sanction the September 17, event at Salem Speedway. The event will see drivers from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and more Midwestern states. The full purse will be released at a later date, but is expected to one of the largest purses on either of the touring series schedules.
