Autism Awareness Race at the Kalamazoo Speedway

The National Compact Touring Series presented by Rev X Products will be kicking off the 2022 season with the “Dare to be Different” 54 lap event at the Kalamazoo Speedway on Saturday, April 23rd, at 6:00PM. The Race for Autism, National Compact Touring Series, and Kalamazoo Speedway have partnered for this event to create awareness and raise funds for Autism. The event will see drivers from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and New York invade the speedway with over sixty cars pre-registered.

The event will be to benefit the Great Lakes Center for Autism Treatment and Research with a 50/50 and driver taking pledges to raise funds. Kenny Wright one of the event promoters has laid the foundation for this event with the support of the local drivers. The National Compact Touring Series will add drivers from all over the Midwest to race for a cause not the purse. Even though the event will pay $1000 to win and $150 to start the drivers are coming to support the cause not just the purse.

“The National Compact Touring Series has always been very community oriented,” stated, Denise Williams, Marketing Director of the National Compact Touring Series. “We are very excited to be included in this event and support all the effort Kenny has put into this event.”

This event will kick off the 2022 points for the National Compacts. This will be the 2nd event of the 2022 season with North Carolina native Shane Canipe picking up the first win at the Freedom Factory in Bradenton, Florida. The 2022 series will see drivers such as Clay Rogers, Bill Kenny, Kyle Ramsey, Paul Bittle, George Sparkman, Derek Robinson, Leroy Luna, Chris Harman, David Riley, Daniel Irvine, Jason Jones, Will Slaughter, Carlos Pizzaro, Raymond Powell, Nick Jenema, Dan Rigoni, Sheldon Lindlag, Matt Elsey, Dylan Huffman, Anthony Kiser, and Travis Loop battle it out for the 2022 Rev X Products Series Championship. Local Series supporters such as Ben Wilcox and David Leonard, Jr. will also be challenging for the big pay day.
